NEW YORK, NY — Robert K. Futterman & Associates, LLC (RKF), the nation’s leading independent real estate firm specializing in retail leasing, investment sales, and consulting services announces the promotion of Ariel Schuster to Senior Vice President and partner of RKF.
Formerly a senior managing director, Mr. Schuster has been with RKF since 2001 and specializes in tenant representation, landlord representation and investment sales in Manhattan, and tenant representation for a few tenants nationally.

Mr. Schuster represents an impressive list of institutional and entrepreneurial property owners including Edward J. Minskoff Equities; RFR Realty, Inc.; Broad Street Development; The Winter Organization; Savanna Partners; The World-Wide Group; The Related Companies, L.P.; and Africa Israel, USA. For his ownership clients, he negotiated retail leases at The Sonoma (300 East 39th Street), The Westminster (153-69 Seventh Avenue), The Park Imperial (1745 Broadway) and the Westport (845 Tenth Avenue) – four of The Related Companies’ premier locations that total nearly 100,000 square feet. At 270 Greenwich Street, Mr. Schuster secured a 70,000-square-foot lease with Whole Foods Market for its Downtown flagship superstore, a 40,000-square-foot lease with Barnes & Noble and a 38,000-square-foot lease with Bed Bath & Beyond. He has also arranged 15 transactions for The Winter Organization, the most recent of which was a lease with global retail giant, H&M at 111 Fifth Avenue.
He is currently marketing more than 340,000 square feet of space for property owners, which includes space at 250 East 57th Street, 345 Broadway, 260 Bowery, 55 Broadway, 415 Eighth Avenue and 115 Fifth Avenue.
Among Mr. Schuster’s list of retail clients are Chico’s, Marc Ecko Enterprises, White House|Black Market, PetSmart, Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, Gamestop, The Finish Line and Coldwater Creek. For the latter, Mr. Schuster secured a 13,450-square-foot location for the retailer’s first Manhattan flagship at 1172 Third Avenue (68th Street).
His recent investment sales accomplishments include the sale of the 1.3 million-square-foot Bristol Center, an industrial/warehouse/distribution complex in Bristol, Connecticut, for $60.5 million and the 268,750-square-foot 303 East 83rd Street, a residential building on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, for $170 million.
Mr. Schuster graduated magna cum laude from Tulane University, earning a Bachelor of Science. He also earned a Masters in Real Estate Finance from New York University. Mr. Schuster is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Real Estate Board of New York.
